WHO WE ARE
New Life Church is a place where people are enabled to grow into a deeper relationship with God and to creatively impact our world. It is a place of healing and restoration where we see God using His Church (the people) and His Word (the Bible) as a catalyst for the discovery of Christ.
WHAT WE DO
Our desire is to love and serve each other, our community and our world as Jesus did, in spite of our imperfections. Through this service and the ministries of our church, we long to see people discover true hope and come to wholeness in Christ.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

New Life Church is a body of people, unified in purpose around a common identity, Jesus Christ. We are passionate about discovering what God has for us and serving the community we live in. We strongly believe that New Life Church has been called to bring healing and freedom to the broken and bound up. Only Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross makes this possible.

Hermen and Barbara

Lead Pastor
Hermen was born in the Netherlands and moved to Canada with his family when he was 6 years old. He grew up in Abbotsford BC where he met his wife Barbara. Shortly after they got married and then moved to Creston BC, where they enjoy camping and the outdoors. After a number of years doing sales in various fields, Hermen felt called to ministry at New Life Christian Church where he served as administrator/pastor for four years. In June of 2014 he transitioned to become the new lead pastor. Hermen and Barbara have 3 children, one daughter in law and a grandson. Hermen and Barbara are passionate about both their natural and church families and they desire to see the people of New Life Church come into wholeness in Jesus Christ.
